Writing a resume is not easy especially if you are applying for a job that needs a detailed resume requiring personal information down to writing your experiences and skills.  The resume is the window of opportunity where a recruiter or employer sees everything that he or she wants of a potential employee.  In order to write your resume, you must be careful in presenting the data.  Make it sure that all of the information that you have written in your resume are true and correct and most importantly, make it sure that your resume catches the attention of the reader particularly your prospective employer. 

            Here are some of the top tips on how to write your resume:

1.       Give complete information about yourself as this is the first and basic information that you will write in your resume.  It is important that you share about yourself that you think an employer would want to know.

2.      Write only the necessary and important information relevant to the job that you are applying, such as your previous job experiences and skills.

3.      Use a simple resume format and it should be error-free. Spelling and correct grammar should be observed.

4.      Use a font that is readable and preferably, use a black and white version, meaning, black fonts written in a white paper.  Mostly in writing, the font, Times New Roman is generally used with the font of size 12.

5.      Be formal in presenting your resume and make sure that it has a cover letter.

6.      Do not include personal hobbies or references.  However, if an employer asks for references, then that’s the time that you will include your references.
